A New Year - A New Me

A New Year!
A New Me!!

I've been away for a while from the blog and the work bench.
Not necessarily by choice, but more from necessity!

You see, I'm a wife, mother and daughter and between those three things, I somehow forgot that I am a "me".   So my 2011 goal is to pay more attention to "me" which may seem selfish,
but really, really necessary,

So towards my 2011 goal, I've spent the past "sixish" weeks trying to get my 2010 in order so I can start 2011 in a new, more authentic way.
I've cleaned my office, made plans, done paperwork that is like years past due, rearranged and ORGANIZED my house to reflect my family's current needs, taken care of my Mom who had surgery and has been "non-weight" bearing for the past six weeks, gone to Philly for a great Army Navy game, joined Weight Watchers and of course, had a great holiday season with my family.

Of course, no new year comes without new year's resolutions.  This year is no different, except that this year I made definite resolutions (I usually don't), and I am holding ME accountable.  I'm making these resolutions because I need to be a wife, mother, daughter and a "ME".

My husband and I decided to make our 2011 words
"DISCIPLINED"
 and
"FINISH"
totally reflecting our desires to be more organized, more healthy, more successful, more thankful
and better Christians than ever before.

I'm really determined and excited to make 2011 the best year ever!

Here's to a fantastic start to 2011 - HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE!

THANK YOU VETERANS - My Video Thank You!!!

Today is Veterans Day... which is a good thing!  Today is when Americans take the time to recognize and show their appreciation for our Veterans and those who are currently serving in the military.

As I sit at my computer, in my nice warm house, I contemplate this day and am somehow saddened that it takes a "day" for some people to recognize the sacrifices of our military and their families.

I love today because in my own little mind, I hope that maybe some people will feel in their hearts, minds and souls what I feel....
an intense pride in the USA and all that it means to be American and an overwhelming appreciation and deep sense of gratitude to those who have served and currently serve in our military.

It is because of them that I sleep safely at night and don't have to worry about those things that other parts of the world do.  They are there because they believe in the USA and its freedoms; they do it voluntarily, with selfless sacrifice and deep determination.

I hope we, as Americans, can remember our Veterans everyday and never forget the sacrifices that have been, are, and will continue to be made.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU
to our
VETERANS!!!
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!!!
